Pesaro is certainly a  jewel bordering with  Emilia Romagna Region and is situated between two important promontories of the Adriatic coastline. One one side Colle San Bartolo with its blooming natural park and on the other Colle Ardizio. This territory is perfect for regenerating walks in the midst of nature, good also for sports activites like trekking and cycling.

Urbino
City of the Renaissance and capital of the duchy of the great Montefeltro family, this city has given birth to illustrated personalities such as Bramante, Barocci and Raffaello Sanzio, one of the best Italian painters of all times. Places to  visit: Ducal Palace, Raphael’s House, Chapels of the Salimbeni Brothers, Monastery of Santa Chiara.

Fano

Fano is a town situated in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche Region. This town is famous for its Carnival, one of the oldest in Italy. Fano is also known as “ The City of Luck”, it is famous for the roman walls, the Arch of Augustus, the Cathedral, the Church of S. Maria Nuova, the Square XX Settembre, the  Malatesta Palace and the Tombs of the Malatestians. Do not miss:

  • Fano Carnival with its traditional  parade  of floats (3 weeks long)
  • The Antique Market in the downtown area every second last weekend of the month
  • The Yacht Festival in April and / or May according to the edition situated at the harbor called  “Marina dei Cesari “
  • Super Quad Show and  Flavours and Motors in May at the beachfront resort of Fano

Gradara
Gradara can be easily reached driving along the Adriatic Panoramic Street through the Regional Park of San Bartolo – the hilly side where you can admire our coastline. Gradara is known above all for its historical Malatesta Fortress that along with its fortified suburb perfectly preserved on the inside and its surrounding walls on the outside, represent an example of medial architecture recently renovated at the beginning of the XX century.

San Leo
San Leo (built on the Montefeltro mountainous area) is situated on a humungous rocky mass at a height of 589 meters. In the fortress Count Giuseppe Balsamo known as Cagliostro was imprisoned and died there on the 27th of August 1795.  To be seen: la Pieve which is the location of the museum and art gallery and the Dome. Also enjoy the surrounding panorama which blends well with the architectural aspects of the area.

San Marino
San Marino is the smallest republic in the world, with its 61 km and approximately 25,000 citizens; it is a medieval city kept just like it was. You can admire the medieval houses and the picturesque lanes. The historical downtown centre is full of monuments located on Mount Titano at 750 meters of altitude. Please visit also: Il Palazzo del Governo (the Government Palace), the Basilica, the Church of San Francesco, the three towers at the crest of Mount Titano and various museums.
